A little note from Sosa

Founder, engineer, and the person who actually answers your emails.

I started Joyware because small businesses deserve the same quality of technology as big companies, without needing a whole engineering department.

I'm a Brooklyn software engineer who loves making complicated things feel simple. I care about the small details, explaining things without jargon, and building software you can actually depend on.

Field notes

short tips for independent businesses

Oct 2026

Three things I check before trusting a booking form

Book a test appointment yourself. Check the confirmation email arrives, and not in spam. Then check it lands on your calendar at the right time. Most broken forms quietly fail one of those three.

Oct 2026

Your website doesn't need 15 plugins

Every plugin is code someone else maintains, or stopped maintaining. If you can't say what one does, it's a candidate for deleting. Fewer plugins means fewer updates and a faster site.

I built my website with AI. Now what?

AI is great at a first draft. Before customers rely on it, check that the forms actually deliver, that no passwords or keys are sitting in the code, and that it works on a phone.

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Ask on the free call.

Can't I just use AI to build my site?

You can, and I use it too. AI gets you a draft. I handle the testing, security, hosting and fixes, so it works when real customers use it, and you have someone to call when it doesn't.

Why fixed prices instead of hourly?

You should know the cost before work starts. Fixed plans also mean I'm paid for results, so there's no reason for a job to take longer than it should.

What if I need a deeper look before deciding?

Book a technical consultation: 60 minutes for $250. I dig into your code or setup and tell you what I would do. The fee is credited toward an eligible project if you go ahead.

Who owns my site and accounts?

You do. Logins are stored in a password manager and shared securely, and everything is documented so you're never locked in.

What platforms do you work with?

Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress and custom-built sites and apps, plus the booking, payment, email and ad tools that connect to them.

Tell me what's broken, or what you're worried might break.

The intro call is free and takes 15 minutes. Pick a time now, or send a short note first. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
